Railing problem

On the attached image, I have the blue outlined railing components sticking out past the end of the baluster. I put an offset on the starting post, and was expecting the railings to offset back with it, but they didn't.

Where do I find the parameters to correct this?

The only way I can that situation to work , is by pulling back the main railing, then adding a special end segment railing.

You're left with a joint line between the two and Join Geometry won't work on railings, so you'll have to use the linework tool on that. All a bit messy I'm afraid.
