I have not been able to have the Revit (2009 & 2010) Ceiling Diffuser components show in the print preview, and they do not show on the printed output for any ceiling plan. Light fixture components are not a problem, and neither is the ceiling grid. What should I be checking ,or paying attention to, for why the Celiing Diffuser components are a problem for printing ?

doesnt print to pdf, different type printers, etc?

e.g. we had a problem with a plotter that didnt do greyscale right, so some things didnt show up sometimes
but if you printed to pdf and then to plotter it got all of the greyscale items 100%

In the Object styles, see what the lineweights are set to for Air Turminals, and other Ductwork items. You may have to make the projected lineweight much heavier to plot correctly against the ceiling grids.

I have heard from other architects about printing to .pdf, so I will give this a try.

Found out that the ceiling diffusers & supply registers, that are in the "local" Plumbing component family, have no depth. They come into the project as flat two dimensional objects. I did a Family Edit on these items and gave them a depth of 2" and now all diffusers & supply registers are showing on the print preview, along with showing on the printed output from the printer.
