When importing a field book in Civil 3D 2010, we are running into duplicate lines on top of each other. The linework all comes in fine except that some figure lines are ontop of each other. It only happens with some of the figure lines. A noticeable location is at the returns. One line will draw the curve correctly, the second line puts straight lines from point to point. We can delete the duplicate line - but I was wondering why we are getting two lines - Any suggestions were to start looking for the error? Thanks.

Are you importing FBK files?

In C3D 2010, they added the option to create linework without using the old FBK system. However, for some reason, they overlapped the old and new systems.

When you import an FBK into C3D 2010, there is also an option to "Process linework during import." Make sure this option is turned OFF. All it does is control the "new" method of generating linework. If you import an FBK file with this option turned ON, then the linework is processed twice - once while you import the FBK, and then again immediately afterwards, using the new linework coding system.
