when extending the horizontal interior wall on the left to the vert exterior wall, the gyp from the hor. interior wall wants to wrap the end of the exterior wall, moving it's current endpoint up an putting itself between vert wall and the curtainwall.

wraps are off.

how can this be avoided? I want the hor. interior wall to stop after joining with the first 3 leftmost elements of the vert exterior wall, or even just stop where they intersect would be fine.

thanks,
daron

Have you tried the disallow join on your horiztonal wall? that way it will but up agaisnt your vertical but not try and clean up. When you select your wall right click on the blue handle and click disallow join, then drag it to meet.

ok, thanks. that gets me close enough. any chance there is a 'wall merge' like ADT to clean up a partial overlap?

looks like 'join' does this pretty well. hopefully it will look the same as it does now when i open the file tomorrow :o)

thanks again,
