View Full Version : Cannot Select ALL Objects

I'm using AutoCAD LT 2009 and I have a drawing that was created by a surveyor. It's basically a site about 1,000' x 1,000' including contour lines, right of ways, and stationing.

It seemed logical to me to draw on top of this layer so I created my layers and proceeded to draw on top of it. At the end, I needed to rescaled the drawing, so using the scale command I tried to rescaled all the objects. When I use SCALE, pt, value; it'll rescale the contour lines. When I use SCALE, pt, "r", values; it'll rescale what I drew.

What's going on? I've never experienced this before and I am wondering what could be the cause of this and what I could do to resolve it?

Note: I did notice when I was drawing that I can scroll over the top of the contour lines that were drawn, and they'd show up, however, I couldn't select them. When I Select All they do get selected though.

Perhaps the contours are on a locked layer.
Why scale everything anyway? View from paperspace and scale the viewport view (assuming the survey drawing is correct).

is it possible that these contours are proxy objects because they were created by something like Civil 3D and that is why they are acting strangely?

Or perhaps they are drawn on the defpoints layer, and it is frozen/locked.
