I have a suggestion for a function that seems very necessary. I was just changing the thickness of a wall type and got a few errors and warnings. So I clicked Show Me and the computer became tied up when, in its search for a view, it came to a walk-through. I would think certain view-types would be exempt from the Show Me function. My suggestion is that you have a check box in the view properties for any given view to include or exclude from view searches. And, by default, cameras and walk-throughs would be ignored.

Great idea, I've run into this problem also were Revit finds a view that is useless to me. Most commonly it opens up the site plan since its looking from the roof to the ground, problem is on a 15 floor hotel the site plan doesn't tell me anything about a wall and room seperation line overlapping. Sure you can always hit show again to find another view but it would be nice to filter the list so Revit was only checking a relatively short list instead of every single view in the project.

I honestly lol'ed when I was using the show me feature and It took me to a walk thru I created.

it sortof was a waste of time. but that's a really neat programing algorythm that can figure out to show an item in that view.

I agree, for future reference, I don't see it useful to have views like the walk thru show up in the show me command.
