The attached image is that our our current schedule in AutoCAD today. My question is when setting up families in Revit how can I control the ITEM NO. as part of the Tag.
Item Number is based on the type of product for example:
CB: Casework Base
CT: Casework Tall
CS: Casework Sink
CU: Casework Upper
In CAD now, user manually complete the equipment schedule, however, in Revit I want to take advantage of the automatic scheduling of these things.
Here is my issue.
As you can see from the schedule CB1 thru CB6 has the same DESIGN NO. The only thing that is changing is the SIZE.
When creating the families I plan to use the Deisgn No as the familiy name and then use various sizes as the different types.
How can I control the ITEM NO: parameter for the schedule?
As you can see CB8 is a different type of casework but follows the numeric order in the schedule. The ITEM NO. tag just identifies that cabinet but does not use any type of count value. So CB1 could appear in various places thoughout the project.
I am thinking I have to scratch this format and do something different with it in Revit.
Thoughts?
