hidden line problem

If you print to .pdf a hidden line camera view of anything that has glass in the front and have to show what is going on in the back of that shop front/exterior glazing is not showing when printed. But if you do it in shaded or shaded with edges it shows what is happening at the back of the shop front/exterior glazing why?

Nature of the view, I guess.

Hidden line views will hide all items behind others, no matter what the material.

Shaded views are the next step up, using material transparancy as a view parameter.

This doesn't make sense to me. The glass is transparent on screen (in the view and the print preview) - why doesn't it print the way it looks on screen? Perhaps this is an "undocumented feature" (bug)?

Keep in mind you need to print raster to see through glass.
