I'm using AutoCAD Architecture 2008.

I open a file with arc aligned text and the text doesn't show up. There is a box around where the text should be with some simplex text that says "AcDbArcAlignedText (ATEXT)".

It's my understanding that this should be an Express Tools issue and that most of the Express tools don't work past ACAD 2005.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I normally use Revit, so I'm a little out of touch with ACAD. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The Express Tools continue to work on the current versions. I use it on most projects.

Make sure you load the version of Express Tools that came with your version of AutoCAD.

With 2008, more than likely you will need to have "acetmain.cuix" loaded. It will show up as "EXPRESS" when you type CUILOAD. You can find it in the same folder as your "acad.cuix"

in 2008 read "cui" for "cuix".

Type EXPRESSMENU at the command prompt for Express Tools to load in 2008.
