Hi,

I'm organizing a group in my University to study BIM. We have a demand, a big project made in CAD that we should convert it to BIM and analise it.
I'm a Revit Arc. user, and I suggest this platform:

Revit Arc, Ecotect, GB studio, 3D max to render;
Revit Struct. to struc;
Revit MEP to hidraulic, HVAC and eletric;
Civil 3D to infra-structure;
And Buzzsaw and Navisworks to coordinate them all.

Is this the better platform? Do someone know where I can find video ou tutorials teaching Navis and Buzzsaw?

Thanks.

As a university project, this sounds like a good approach.

Don't forget about plumbing. ;)

Consider IES VE Sustainability Toolkit for any LEED or energy analysis and design. It may not be an Autodesk product, but the analysis tools are very powerful and it comes with a very easy-to-use plugin to Revit Arch/MEP.
The rest of the platforms work well together.
