Creating Holes in a wall

Hi could anyone explain to me as to how i put a hole/opening in a wall i have tried using mass and i couldnt get it to work, i just want to have an open arch way with no doors.

In the Modify Tab Panel, the right most button should be the "Opening" Tool. You need to sketch it on the Face of the Wall. Its a bit of a pain, and normally i just edit the Wall Profile

Edit Wall Profile is the simplest way.

Opening tool is a bit of a pita.
a. Edit profile.
b. Create a wall hosted family with a void cutting the wall.
c. Create an in-place family using a void. Use cut geometry to tell the viod to cut the wall(s). Use only for complex shapes as the other options are much simpler.
d. Opening tool.
