We have the majority of our work done in CAD but have been in the process of migrating over to Revit.

We are going to be doing some additions to an existing build that we have CAD drawings of. All the new work is going to be done in Revit and the existing work is going to be left as a CAD file that is brought into Revit.

The existing CAD file has room tags already placed. When working in Revit in the RCP view those tags from the CAD file are not appearing. Is there a way to get them to appear rather than having to re-draw the room boundries in Revit for the exiting room and them place Revit tags in the view?

You can link in DWG files and turn on/off layers as desired.

Just be sure you LINK and not IMPORT, as well as check the option to 'Import into Current View ONLY'.
