View Full Version : how to use a back up file .rws?

is .rws a back up file? if so how do i use it? Does Revit save a back up everytime you save? I saved yesterday @5pm and another save just this morning is there a way to go back to that file from last save yesterday @5 and use it as my current. My file got corrupt at the moment.

If your project file is stand-alone and not workshared there should be a sequintially numbered backup file, i.e. Project1.0001.rvt. if your project has already been workshared you will need to go to Files > Backups from your pull-down menu in Revit. Navigate to the correct backups folder and either rollback or save as from that option.
