Well I just had my first fatal error in many months on my Win7 x64 16GB machine.
I created an in-place family with an opening cut through an existing wall (opening cut in the family). Then I copied the family along the wall, but when I tried to edit that family, a copy of that wall appeared in the family editor (co-planar with the main wall). When I tried to delete that wall in the family editor, I got a fatal error with the option to save a recovery file.
I suppose wall openings in in-place families do not work very well when the in-place family is copied?
Problem is easily repeated. New blank project. Place wall, place in-place family with extrusion passing through wall, create opening cut thru wall in the family editor. Finish family, then copy family sideways. Edit the new copied family and another wall will appear. Try to delete that wall and it throws you out.
