Hi could anyone please explain to me as to how you add a dormer window into a roof and give me any links were i might be able to download dormers?

Draw three walls, a roof and stick a window in it? Or are you asking how to create a dormer family?

Drawing it as 3 walls, a roof, and a window, all joined respectively to the roof with the proper dormer opening cut is the "correct" way to do it, since then each part will act as it's actually intended (walls act as walls to host the window, roof acts as a roof to join to the main roof, etc). If you try to make it all into one family, I think you'll run into issues because the whole thing would have to be combined into a single model category.

If you have several of these, just make one and group it, then copy it around as needed.
