Be gentle, I've still not fully got my head around shared coordinates....

We're using them in our project models, and they work all nice and dandy - and I've got the hang of rotating and relocating projects in plan easy enough. But our S.Eng is threatening one of our buildings has to raise upto 600mm.

Not to worry, just make sure all the levels are relatively locked to one another and punch in the new number I think. Well yes, that would work if only there weren't five A1 sheets full of sectional and elevational 2D worked callouts that will lose sight of their intended targets when I do so!!

What to do? Can I "raise" the project?

You use the Relocate Project command in an elevational or section view. Then you'll pick a first point, like you are actually moving the project, and type in the 600mm. If your levels are set to use Shared coordinates, the values wil all increase by 600mm. Piece of cake. Any consultants you send your file to, I'd tell them you did this. Your filee may actually "move" in relation to theirs.

...er okay, it's not working!? :(

I've done all that Scott suggested - but the shared level height (66300) doesn't change to what we want it to (66700) - in fact nothing seems to have happened.

I noted when hovering over the icon that the Revit tooltip says you have to linked instances (see attached jpeg) which I tried, but then I got confused (and worried) that I might be affecting the linked model also.

The command also completes quite quickly which is additonally worrying / questionable.

What could I be doing wrong? :?

You have to make sure that your level annotation objects are set to display "shared co-ordinates" as well.

Specifying the new level using the relocate project command changes your shared co-ordinates. Your level annotations won't display this unless you tell them to.

I think I've found a problem with how the model's been setup: Before the attempt, both project & shared levels reported 66300.

I've tried acquiring coordinates from another model (that displays project @0, shared @65400 correctly) but Revit reports the two are sync'd already.

Through a bit of trial & error (moving the lot to 0 then back again, etc) I've managed to get the shared levels reporting correctly (66700) - which is all we presently need to meet today's drawing issues.... but the project level still reports 66300!?!
