View Full Version : Attaching a Wall to a Floor with a Curve

It's not a curved floor (vertically), it's just a floor with a boundary line that's an arc.
It also has a slope arrow.

I seem to have problems attaching more than 1 wall to it.
Revit gives me the warning of "Can't keep wall and floor joined".

Sorry, but am I missing something?

Try removing the slope arrow temporarliy, making the floor flat.

Next, attach all the walls to it.

Now, edit the floor and add the slope arrow back in.

Does this work?

Yikes,

Perhaps I spoke too soon. It's not the ramp that's causing me problems.
It's a flat floor with a curved edge.

The edge of the floor is at the same alignment as the core face of my wall, but the wall doesn't seem to attach.

If I remove the curved edge, the floor seems to attach fine.
Is this a limitation to Revit 2010?

Please post an example.

Screenshots uploaded.

1 is attached to 3 already.
Attempting to attach 1 to 2I can understand if this is a software limitation, but if it's not, I would like to find out how to do it properly?

thank you for your help!

Try editing the wall profile instead of attaching.

You'll probably need to create a second wall that follows the edge of the upper floor (2).
You can use the pick option to select the floor edge to define the line of the wall.
