Sections created are on their side

Hi All,


When I create a section through a top view I am finding that the section is not orientated correctly. ie. It is on its side

I then need to rotate the view which is time consuming.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I had this issue on some stairs a couple projects ago.

I just checked a cut on my recently finished project (on an assembly) and it was oriented as expected.

I think applying the patches fixed this problem for me.

Of course finding the patches was a job and a half...

Hopefully this will fix some of the problems you are encountering.

And please log issues with support centre, it gives us a better chance of altering things if there are more people asking for them.

The sections were orientated correctly on assembly drawings however not when I cut a section through a grouped top view.

Actually, come to think on it, my problem with that was also in a group.

I will let you know if it's fixed in 2011, I can probably do a test document on Monday.
