Hi, So I'm modeling some ceilings.. it's a relatively generic 610mm x 610mm t-bar ceiling type .
it's between two beams that are both independantly level ( but at different levels ) and not only that the two beams are not paralel to each other in floor plan. the area for the ceiling is like a trapezoid. so with it not being a perfectly flat plane, I've made a massing. to create the ceiling I've made a "ceiling wall type" and everything looks great ! using the slope arrow wasn't an option, as the ceiling will have a slight bow to it. it's not flat.
here's the problem I'm running into , I am trying to align the ceiling grids, but I can't get them to align to each other , or to a reference plane. I can manually tab thru and grab my ceiling grid line. but it's not moving or aligning to the ref plane with the align command... is this because the ceiling isn't perpendicular to the reference plane ?
is my logic right that I can't align them in plan view with the align command because of their not flat shape ? this is wrinkling my brow and brain.
