We are on the AutoCAD Revit Visualisation Suite on subscription...but none of the latest releases for all the software is available for download.....any reason why?

What a joke.
Read somewhere that Autodesk stated that they would be able to handle the load.
Obviously not the case.
Download Manager does not work and also the unassisted download method is not working for me.
Thats human nature for you I can see it and want it now

Installing 2011 now and found it interesting that there is already a service pack for it.
Looks great. I like the thinner ribbon that uses more of my wide screen monitor
Just a point about Download Manager - and maybe it's a UK thing - but it works great with the latest version of Firefox but for me it doesn't work under IE8 nor Opera browsers.
2011 downloaded in about 1 hour for me using Download Manager and Firefox on Win 7 64 bit.

Might have something to do with the fact that Autodesk is discontinuing the version of Navisworks that comes with RAVS... methinks they might be reformulating that particular package.

You know how they say that they "have to" keep selling AutoCAD because it's in such great demand?
So, why didn't the servers crash when everybody went to download AutoCAD 2011?
Not until just "those few" Revit users are downloading did they crash :?

And it's done! Probably 20 minutes or so. One thing I miss from IE in Firefox is the total elapsed time and average download rate that appears after a file finishes downloading.
Probably won't be able to install it until tomorrow. But I've been beta testing so I already know what's in there. :)

Had no problems what so ever, but then again, I just "happened" to look for it, just before it was announced here. So RAC and ACA downloaded in just 35 minutes :-)
That´s 7 hours ago, and I’ve still not installed it, but as so many others, I´ve been Beta testing, so "Christmas Eve" is kind of ruined for me
But hey, if Autodesk could ensure the 15th as the release date in the coming years, Ii just "MIGHT" be possible that I´ll also remember my anniversary date...

I got mine downloaded but it hangs up when I enter the SN and Product key. It just spins and won't go any further. It says the key may be valid but can't verify now but simply won't go any further. I'm thinking about dumping it and downloading it again.
Comments?
I got it installed on my 32 bit computer with the original download and tried a new download for my 64 bit but have the same problem. It just hangs up after I enter the SN and product key so it must be related to the 64 bit version, or my computer. Anyone have a similar problem.

That's what I'd do. A download is about 30 mins. You'd spend more time trying to figure it out. I'm just wondering if Revit is like ACA when you uninstall. Do you have to delete registry files and such? That might be a pain.

Crazy. I was born in NY! Small world.
Question. Downloded Revit suite. Installed ACA first and decided to try it out before installing Revit. My serial number doesn't work. How the heck do you activate it?? It says subscription customers need to enter the group ID? I don't have one that I know of. Help!

You're kidding right?
As far as your S/N and Key. Log into the Sub Center and click on Contract Information, then click on Coverage Report.
Then click on the Contract# to see all the related S/N. I believe for standalone, the group ID is the same as the S/N.

LOL Nope, I'm serious! I just started Revit and still have projects in ACA. It's been good to me over the years. I'm gonna miss him.
Anyway, I did what you suggested first, but the SN still didn't work. I'll try it again.

Why doesn't AD employ torrent technology during the first week of availability.
This would speed things up, to more people who were trying to download.
I'm waiting for my nice shiny box.....

I used to live in SoCal too! lmao. I've also been to MS, not so proud of that one. lol
Anyway, back to Revit, I screwed up. I installed Revit using the correct license info and it worked fine. When I installed ACA I tried to use my 2010 info. I didn't know to get the new SN. Soooo, how do I fix it?? It won't take the correct one either. But Revit works!
Wow, you must have just moved here yesterday! I notice your address under you avatar now says Dallas.

Great - an hour & a half later I get this:
Did you find a solution?
It appears that the x64.cab file in my download is 'corrupt'. I extracted everything else from the .exe and tried installing the 32bit and was told that eval.msi was missing..... Aaargh.... another 2.6GB download.... Nah I'll wait for the opst, and let you guys nut out all the other bits!!
