I am having problems importing ACIS solids into Revit 7. I get a message that says to convert the objects to polymeshes using Autocad, but I can't find any help in Autocad on how to do this!

I have attached the error and .dwg file

Anybody have any ideas????

Thanks,

Dave.

Revit can import ACIS solids, as long as there are no NURBS based objects in the solids. I would guess that some of the compound curves in the couch model are NURBS. You will need to simplify those, or convert them to faces in AutoCAD.

This tip of Tatlin's may help :-

In Revit 7, in order to use the new 'Pick Face' Wall, Roof, Curtain System and Floor options on imported ACIS solids, you need to 'wrap' the dwg by importing it into a Mass or Generic Model family. This will make the faces of the solid geometry pickable and also let Floor Area Faces / Volume/ Surface Area work.
