I have a fairly simple question and here is a simple example of when this issue occurs.
Let's say that I have a 6 x 6 wood post and on top of the wood post I have a 6 x 10 wood beam.
In this case both the post and the beam are using the Revit material 'Wood - Dimensional Lumber'.
The rendering appears as if the post and beam are cut out of the same gigantic piece of wood.
You can not see that there is a post . . and a beam.
It looks like they are one in the same.
So my question is this:
Is this something that is caused by a low quality material or is there a setting that I am unaware of that will remedy the problem.
I wouldn't think that this is something that is typical in Revit that everyone just lives with it.
I would post an example image but I apparently don't know how.
However, I believe from my description you can easily understand what it looks like.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thank you.
