Railings in ceilings plans

Can someone explain me why can't I show railings in ceiling plans?

I'm using railings to model simple cable trays but I can't show them in my ceiling plans.

Any thoughts on this?
Any sugestion on similar tool for this use (creating simple cable trays)?

Revit 2013 OneBox, recommended. If you need cable trays, draw cable trays.
