Yesterday, I installed my version of the Revit Structure 2011, and after that logged into my subscription, downloaded the extensions pack for 2011, and installed that too.
now, i was searching for my Excel based modeling tool that was in 2010 under the "modeling" tab. but it is not there anymore ?
*attached a image of the whole list of extensions*
is this tool removed now from 2011 ?

It's part of an add-on called revit extensions I thought?
Probably just need to add that back in to the 2011 set...

so yes, i downloaded the extentions pack 2011 and installed that.
still it is not there anymore ?
i really wonder, did i do something wroing, maybe during the installation of the extentions ? or was it maybe taken out on purpose ?

I have the 2010 extensions pack loaded,
I am running Revit 2010 and I don't see a modelling tab as you describe.
On my version, it's listed under add-ins, extensions manager, modelling, excel based model generation.
Maybe they just moved it?

in 2010 i do have it, and i do use it.
but in 2011 at the place where the excel based modeling was, stands now: framing generator.
there is nowhere where i can find this tool anymore
On my version, it's listed under add-ins, extensions manager, modelling, excel based model generation.
yes, that is the same in 2011 and 2010
mm maybe something went wrong during my installation, i guess i will just try to re-install it and see if that will make some difference

Dear dante_van_wettum,
I have asked the Revit Extension development team about your issue. Are you using Windows 7 - 64 bit?
In fact, due to some technical issues and challenges with the new environment and architecture of Windows 7 - 64 bit only, our development team has removed this extension for this O/S and we are still trying to work with Microsoft to see if there is any solution for it.
Can you confirm if you are using Windows 7 - 64 bit? If that is not the case, please contact me immediately.
P.S. this Excel extension should still work and available when you install it on:
- Windows XP 32/64 bits
- WindowsVista 32/64 bits
- Windows7 32 bits only.
Thanks
