I have a project where the phasing got a little complicated as things moved along, so a bunch of stuff that was Phase 1 has become phase two. But phase one did not go away, it just changed scope. I was able to change everything but rooms using Element properties. Rooms however have their Phase grayed out in Element Properties. I figured, oh, they are just goofy and have to be inserted on the appropriate phase. no problem, because Revit has that nifty feature where deleting a room isn't deleting a room. But these rooms cling tenaciously to their phase, even after being deleted. So when I am in phase 2, none of the deleted rooms appear in the list of available rooms. Switch two phase 1 and there they are. There is a lot of data in the rooms already so I have no desire to fully delete them and recreate all that work.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Alas, I can't upgrade this project to 2011 as we have a deadline next week.

Thanks,
Gordon

You can CUT the rooms to your clipboard and then Paste Aligned > Same Place into the Phase 2 view.

I know it looks weird. But its normal behavior. To be sure to have your rooms in Phase #, you need to copy to clipboard the rooms and paste them to current view after changing the view (floor plan) phase. That's Out Of The Box from Revit way.
You have out there an utility BIMAssist that allows you to replicate rooms on other phases.

Hope that helped, good luck for your DL...
