View Full Version : Wall area not recorded in schedule

I have a project in Revit 6.1 and only some of the wall types are reporting areas in the wall schedule. Has anyone else seen this problem? Or does anyone know what is going on here? I certainly don't see any correlation between walls that are reporting area and those that are not that would direct me to the kink.

Two things come to mind.

Are all the walls you want to schedule in the same phase? That could affect what you see in the schedule.

Is any type of filtering set up in the schedule?

no filtering and no phases. The wall types DO show in the schedule, it just lists the area for some and not others. Unfortunately not for the walls that I need that information on either.

Take a look in tools / review warnings. You might have some overlapping walls or some other error that's causing the reporting problem.

Ah hah. Thanks Andrew for your suggestions. I figured out what was going on...you have to check the "calculate totals" box in the schedule properties under the "formatting" tab.
