View Full Version : Keyboard Shortcuts
I would like to be able to use F key shortcuts (without CTRL, ALT etc) I could do this with 2010 using the shortcuts text file, but not the shortcuts editor. Alternatively how can i disable the inbuilt shortcut editor and go back to the txt file i previously used ?
This will also allow me to use single letter shortcuts.

1) In Revit 2011' Keyboard Shortcuts Editor, (View > User Interface > Keyboard shortcuts) find the command you want to assign a F key to, such as "Section"; in the text box, press the F2 key (for example) > click on "+ Assign" and OK to finish. To test it, hit the F2 key. Now the Section tool should work with that key.
2) To use your Revit 2010 Keyboard Shortcuts text file into the editor, use the Import button. Change the type of file to be "Revit 2010 Keyboard Shortcuts files (*.txt)"; There will be a warning, asking if you want to merge or overwrite the shortcuts. Use with caution.

Anyone know where the keyboard shortcuts get saved to now in 2011? I know you can edit them as noted above but wanted to copy from one machine to another and also have them saved for 2012! Thanks for any insight.

See Alfredo's screen shot...there are import and export buttons on the bottom for you to save your shortcuts, and then re-import them on other macines.
