I am working on a conversion, converting an AutoCAD project to Revit, and was wondering if anyone has a way to make an elevation tag that looks similar to one from AutoCAD. I have an example of what I want to make, but there is no elevation annotation that can be made, and we are not able to edit the elevation tag family, since it is a system family. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Custom Elevation tags can't be done in 2010.

However, Revit 2011 has new tools for this.

Take a look at the documentation online.

cheers

edit: looking at your example, it looks exactly like a Revit 2010/previous
Section Head

It is exactly like the section tags in Revit, but that would foce people to use the section tool to generate elevations, and I don't know if I can convince our BIM committee here to do that. I will see what is in 2011, after we get that installed. Thanks.

Convince them to upgrade to revit 2011, since you can create custom elevation tags with it :)

We have 2011, just waiting for it to get to our office from Corporate somewhere. Also waiting on my machine getting upgraded.
