I had a problem with the materials names using the FBX format and the file link manager, transferring files from revit 2011 to max 2011
In the revit model i use specific materials with specific names (Based on the default render appareance of revit, because i cant create custom) But when i transfer the model to max, the materials lose that names, and use the name of the "default render apareance"
This is very annoying, because for example, in revit we had several types of concrete, but all are based in the "concrete" render appareance, but when we transfer the file to max, in the model appear vairous materials with the same name "concrete"
someone know any workflow to deal with this?
