So I've been asked to write a "10 things I used to do..." blog entry for my firm's blog, and thought it would be an interesting (and probably amusing) thread for AUGI. So here's my question: what do you do now, that you find laughable and wish you knew better when you started?

I'll start:
I remember creating wall sweeps using about 20 different rectangular profiles, all individual families. Then I learned able parameters...

I used to try to explain to people the value in rational-process instead of across the board generalizations for every situation. :)

In all seriousness....

I use to not have boardroom ettiquette (sp?), then i started doing Revit Implementation.

HOW you say it SHOULDNT matter as much as what youre saying, but since it does, im glad i learned it. LOL

Is that a typo, or should I go search the help for "able parameters"?

Just wondering why you wouldn't create a new profile for each uniqe sweep, unless they are all just rectangular.

I believe he means flexible parameters.

Curtainwall within curtainwall within curtainwall. It can be very useful and powerful to embed one grid in another, but if you're not careful about what you're selecting in the type selector when you swap curtain panels, you can end up with some nasty problems. And they're hard to track down sometimes.
