Stacked Walls

Ok I'm trying my hand with stacked walls and have come up with a couple of questions regarding how the stacked wall attaches to a roof.

I've created the stacked wall and the top parameter is set to attach to a level. I'd like the structure to stay attached to the level, but would like the exterior finish material to attach to the roof. I've "unlocked" this layer but when I attach to the roof the whole wall attachs to the roof. Now I can use the "edit cut profile" tool to adjust the different layers but I'm wondering if there is a better way to do this.

I don't think you can attach the wall finish to a roof but you can attach to a level. Once you release the finish lock go to elevation and use the align tool to attach the finish to your roof level and lock it..

Actually you can attach wall finishes to the bottom edge of a roof but not the sloping planes of the roof. Attaching to the level would be my choice since the roof is probably associated with the level anyway.
