Is there a way to set the text spacing in revit like you can in autocad?
You'll have to be a bit more specific on what you mean by text spacing. Spacing between lines, spacing between letters, etc.

Sort of, in the text style "type" parameters, you can edit the width factor to control the width of the letters. Otherwise, no, since Revit only uses Windows True-Type Fonts, the letter to letter spacing is controled through the fotn definition itself.
