change red and green in area command

Is there a way to change the colors in the Area add/subtract? I work with someone that is color blind and that red and green being muted is just not working for him.

I don't see where those colors can be changed. There is also a brown for when you are subtracting from an area you have added already.

That color also is not helpful to a color blind guy. The colors that mess with him most are the reds and greens but if he could brighten them up like Christmas colors it would be helpful.
This muted stuff sucks for him.
