Option to link Revit files grayed out

When I click "File", "Import/Link" and mouse down to the "Revit" option, it is grayed out. I'll create a new file and I'm able to link in that file... so it seems my problem is file-specific and not a bug in Revit.

Anyone dealt with this issue before?

Just to rule out the obvious, are you in a plan view (not a 3d or elevation)?

I have "obvious" stamped on my forehead. It works in 3d. What's odd is once I did it in 3d... it also let me do it now in plan view. Any idea why it does this? Maybe I shouldn't ask too many questions... it works now. :)

Nix previous post... I was in sheet view when I tried to do it initially... intuitively it makes more sense that it wouldn't link a file in sheet view.

Ah yes, that would explain it. To tell the truth, I didn't even try it in 3d or elevation - I was ***-uming it would only work in plan view; the other ones being too ambiguous.
