I'm having real trouble trying to dimension a couple of points along non parallel lines. I can't get it to select just the end points of what I want to dimension - in this case a building setback where the wall face is not parallel to the property boundary. I'm sure I must be doing something wrong but I just can't get it to work.

You probably aren't doing anything wrong, but you will need to use detail lines, dimension them, then make them invisible.

Ah ok. Surely there should be a way to dimension like I have said. Maybe something for the wishlist? That and real independent leaders...

Thanks for the tip. :)

I recently read a post regarding a similar issue;

"How do you dimension a non orthogonal wall (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=7391&highlight=wall+finishes)"

Mainly in relation to wall finishes and the ability, or lack of, to adequately dimension them.

Has the issue of controlling visibility of wall finishes and the dimensioning of these differing wall components been addressed in Ver. 7.0?
