hi to all I do not understand what does student version mean because I have a serial of my new revit structure 2011 and I have activate and register it online thinking that I can open or log in to subscription. or what are the benefit of having that license?yes we consider that my software is a license but what else happen if I used it?

or let us say what is my benefit if I am going to register my product to autodesk

thanks

Student Versions are not for use for any purpose other than student learning. You cannot use a student version to do work for which you will get paid. The student version puts a watermark stamp on printed sheets that identifies it as being made by a student version.

If you open any file with a student version, the watermark will be embedded in the file and cannot be removed. Do not ever open a file from your office or practice in a student version and expect to go back to the non-student version. The watermark will remain.

Typical "Autodesk" answer, very useful information and the guy really need to know what you have told him, and it kind of answers the second part. But read his question again.

He is asking what benefit does he get from registering his software as a student as he can't log into the subscription, and I'm guessing get the add-ons and extensions that are there?

Oh, I didn't get that at all from the first time I read this. Students do not get access to subscription center, as this is for customers that pay for subscription. Yes, many of the extensions are a subscription benefit, and therefore not available through the student portal. I think our Education team is trying to work something out for this.

Registering Student Versions gets one access to Support through the Student Center. More info can be found here:
