Placing Elements using coordiantes

Hi,

If you was to place a pile (or any element) at specific coordinates how would you do this?

The only thing that comes to my mind is to set it out in Autocad, link it into Revit and place the element on this location...

...is there another way?

Depends on the coordinates. If you are in 2010 or higher you can set your site location marker and then place your pile based on that.

In 2009 or lower you can do it the old fashioned way, place a point that you know is at a certain coordinate in the project and then just base the pile off of that object.

How do you set the site location marker?

You go to Visiblility Graphics (VV) -> Site and tick 'Project Base Point'
