Sub Categories/ Selection

Can anyone answer me this question. Why when I have an element that was created under a subcategory, and I turn that sub category off in the visibility graphics dialog box does Revit still select that element in a the view?

Depends on your selection method. Drag selection should not select it. Select all instance (depending on which version you are using) probably would, but then you'd be selecting it from another view anyhow.

I am just using a crossing selection box.
