Design option Elevation view

I can’t seem to assign a Design option to an elevation view, I can do it for a floor plan, 3d & sections but not elevation.
I am able to change the “visible in Option” from the elevation properties but nothing changes in the view..
PS I’m on Revit 2011

In the elevation view, type VG (Visibility Graphics) and assign the correspondent design option for this view.
