Is it possible to alter a walkthrough path by breaking into the original path and adding a section to the path?

Yes, select the walkthrough path (you may have to first right click on the walkthrough in the project browser and select "show camera".) Now select edit walk through on the ribbon. Now look on the options bar, there is a drop down there which will allow you to control the camera, the path, add a keyframe, and delete a keyframe. If you select "path" you can select one of the keyframe points on the path and move it around. If this does not let you get the path where you like it you may need to add additional keyframes to get enough points to manipulate to get the path the way you like it.

I also like to edit the camera because by default the camera is always looking straight down the path. sometimes by building/area of focus is off to one side or another.

Thanks Jeff,
That worked for me to a limited degree. My original path was just around the perimeter of the building and then I realized it should go into the building as well. So what I was hoping for was a way to split the path and then add the extra loop on then add the key points as required. Looks like I need to redraw the path and next time think it through a bit more carefully.

You can still just move the end point of the path where you wan it and then add a few keyframes in to be able to control where it goes. Making a new path is valid tooo and might be easier than manipulating the existing one.

Yes CP,
if you would like to edit the path to add / remove length, you can only do this in an external dedicated program such as Max or modo where you can also edit vertex points and totally manipulate edges / lines for more or less. Perhaps Revit might have such capabilities one day.
In the meantime, Jeff is right..you have to draw a new path...however, its a doodle isn't it ? only a few seconds and botta bing you're done !
cheers
