I've got a user here with a myriad of problems that started yesterday. First off let me say that PICKFIRST is set to 1. Here are the problems.
To edit text (MTEXT or DTEXT) he must click 3 times. The first double click issues the edit command and then AC prompts to select objects. (PICKFIRST is set to 1).
When using COPYBASE, he selects the object, issues the COPYBASE command, AC prompts for point and then objects (PICKFIRST is set to 1). Ctrl+C is doing the same thing.
I've written a lisp for ductwork that takes a single polyline and converts it to double polylines with bends at the vertices. This command has also stopped working and throws an "Invalid selection." error, probably after the offset command.
I think these issues are all related but I can't figure out how. I tried some system variables and options but the problems persist. Any thoughts?

edit: I'd like to go further and say that when using move, rotate, erase, etc. the user is allowed to select the objects first. So far this is only affecting text edit and copybase/Ctrl+C
