All my Revit 2011 software crashes when creating/changing materials' Render Appearance. Found an error message in the ArchVision log file.
"BEGIN 5872 Mon Jun 07 19:44:36 2010 "RPC API" The RPC API is contacting the RPC ACM.

It seems that the RCP API cannot contact the RPC ACM, which makes the program crash.
All the settings in the Option dialog seem to be normal.
Haven't found a solution so far.

How much RAM do you have?

Hello,

This is an issue that ArchVision and Autodesk are currently working on. When there are more than a few hundred RPCs in the path of Revit it is hanging up. Currently the only solution is to have fewer RPCs in the path of the ACM. Please contact ArchVision's Support team for additional information.

Thanks,

I THINK YOUR RPC THAT 'S MAIN PROBLEM, BECAUSE RPCs DON'T HAVE LICIENSE. TRY IT WITH NO RPC OR RPC ALREADY IN REVIT

The problem still remains. I didn't install extra RPC library items. It's installed as it came with Revit.
