Export to IFC file

I have a weird question to ask. Since our Mech Engineer is using 2010 and we are using 2009 Revit Arch. The way I figured to link their model is to export their model to .IFC and bring into our model. When I exported, Their supply grille and return grille are kind of exploded to have a 2d symbol of those at a different location. See my attachment.
I do not know what to do to fix that.
