Mechanical link not showing in Arch'l Views

Has anyone had this issue (I'm working in Revit Arch 2009)...all my other links show properly, except for my mechanical. I have checked VG to make sure that mechanical equipment is checked as being visible, the phasing is the same, there are no design options...and I'm still not seeing the Mechanical linked file. If I change the VG to show linked view, I can see the Mechanical and so I know it is in the correct location, but I am not able to further edit the VG to show only what I want it to show in my views. I've tried auditing and purging the Mechanical file and still no luck. Any other suggestions?

Is the mechanical file Workset Enabled? If so, call your MEP person. Did they make the Worksets "not visible by default in all views?" If they did, you wont see them unless youre set to By Linked View.
