How do I control the visibility of worksets in a linked model? Thanks.

Go to view visibility.
Click the Revit links tab at the top of the dialog.
Click the radio button under display settings for the link you want to modify.
Select the custom check box, then select the Worksets tab at the top of that dialog.
Uncheck the worksets you want to turn off.

FWIW,
This only works in RAC 2011.

By 'view visibility' do you mean Visibility Graphics? From the Revit Links at the top of that dialog, there is no radio button under display setting, it's a regular button and it brings me to the RVT Link Display Settings dialog. There is a custom radio button there, but no worksets tab at the top of that dialog. What version are you using? I'm on 2010. Can anyone walk me through this? Thanks.

You cant do it in 2010. Upgrade, or dont use Worksets for Visibility control of Linked Files.

Were upgrading after this submittal. I have redrawn the architectural walls because they have aren't stopping them at the floors. I'm in structural and they are load bearing. But they need to see the foundation walls. How can I hide all other walls except the foundation walls in the architectural model? Thanks.

Use Filters.

Youll have to get the Architects to put the filter in, to use a Filter on a Linked File. Your Filters cant touch Linked elements until 2011 either.
BUT: You can have them set up a filter, and you can use By Linked View. You dont need them to actually create the VIEWS. They can apply a filter to ANY section, and you can set EVERY section to BLV: that section, and it will work.
But they have to do the Filter, if you go that route.

I can only assume this works in the opposite direction...i.e. I need to filter out all the structural walls except for the foundation and footings. Does the structural model need to have the filter in their model? As opposed to me creating the filter and trying to apply it to their linked model?

Yup. Have them put a filter in one of each view type. One in a plan, one in a section, etc.
Then make sure to set your By linked Views to CUSTOM, not full By linked View. But set the BLV field to that view with the filter, and youll be golden.
Ive used it for that exact condition, in pre-2011.

In 2010 it has to have the same filter in both the main and the link. In Revit 2011 the filters in the main can affect the items in the link as well.
