lost connection to central file

is there a way to re-establish a connection to the central file?
the architect and i are sharing the same model on the network, he has lost his connection to the central file, which would put our model out of synch. I can continue STC as normal.
We are using Revit Structure 2011 and Revit Architecture 2011.
Any feedback would be great...

How much work is he going to lose by creating a new copy of the central file?

I think by now if you are still working on the file the point will be moot.

What sort of error is he getting? is this a revit issue or a network issue?

the issue seems to be a lost network connection.
after speaking with him, it wasn't a significant amount of work lost,
he re-created his efforts. this is a very small canopy project.
any suggestions for the future would be helpfull...

create two seperate models linked origin to origin.
i think your begging for problems workign in one model. RS does things a little differently than RA.

Are you trying this over a WAN? Anytime the connection gets delayed, and you loose connectivity, you'll be out of luck.
