Is it possible to show area reinforcement through objects in 3d view?

I'm just thinking out loud here, but I bet if you set the slab or beam to a transparent material, you might be able to with modeled bars. I'm not so sure you can do that with area reinf since I think that's just kinda like a nested block (not actually part of the model, but line work that is created) and will only show up in certain views (sections).

Thanks for the help, well there is an option for rebars to be unobscured but I was just wondering what is the point in just showing rebars but not area & path reinforcement?
If I am gonna show reinforcements I'd better be showing them all!
