GETTING STARTED PLEASE HELP!!

Hi all,
Its1st time I have tried to revit to draft and model an architecture project. I need urgent help to fix a problem I have, when ever I try new elements I gt the following message:
None of the created elements are visible in Floor Plan: Ground Floor View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings, as well as any Plan Regions and their settings.
I have checked these settings and changed all the overrides to colours and patterns,
what am I doing wrong,
please help!

First, before posting--please do a search in this Forum, as this topic has been covered many times.

Check all of these things: Under Visibility/Graphics in the View where you got the error message--

1. Model and Annotation Categories--turn all on.
2. Worksets ( if enabled ) Turn all on.
3. View Range--check the cutting plane of the plan view
4. Hidden in View--small light bulb at lower left of window
