New User: Recessed Slabs Question

So, I know how to do a hole in a slab whether through the slab sketch or the openings option (I went with defining a hole in the slab sketch). I also created another slab directly below this hole 1' below.

My question is how do I 'clean up' the main slab and the recessed slab by adding edge walls and joining them together so they appear correctly in the building sections.

The Join Geometry tool should do the trick for ya.

Yes, I edit the main floor and make the "holes". Then make a second slab with a negative offset. Then add a slab edge to the second slab. then Join geometery. It looks good.

Is this easier than making an in-place generic void, the sape of the recess and then just use the Cut Geoometry tool to get the recess in the slab?
