Rectangular opening doesn't cut its host.

I get the error message "Rectangular opening doesn't cut its host." when I try to paste the openings into another level. Why is that happening? Thanks.

There´s probably no "host" residing DIRECTLY above the opening at the above level....

perhaps use cut geometry, sometimes opening won't automatically cut host when using copy / paste.
upload your simplified rvt file if still not working.
